New Fellowship for DIS Alumni to Pursue Graduate Studies in Sweden

Starting in the 2020-2021 academic year, the fellowship covers one year’s tuition for one of KI’s esteemed Global Master’s Programs. KI is one of the world’s most recognized medical institutions and is Sweden’s largest center of medical academic research. Since 2015, DIS and KI have collaborated academically to offer students unique and rigorous education opportunities.

This past September, Director of International Relations, Julie Scott, and the Associate Academic Director at DIS Stockholm, Tina Mangieri, visited campuses across the U.S. While there, they connected with four colleagues from the KI international graduate programs for visits to Wake Forest, Elon, UNC Chapel Hill, and Duke Universities. At each university, they met with faculty, staff, and administrators to discuss research with DIS.

The US partners noted the unique offer that DIS can now present to students – both undergraduate and graduate opportunities in connection with the same study abroad institution. Both DIS and KI are eager to give DIS alumni the chance to come back to Scandinavia and study at one of the world’s leading medical universities.

Applications open October 16 for the 2020/2021 academic year.
